Why Sugar Beet?
Sugar beet is a crop that enriches the gross national product by providing high added value, improves the socio-economic conditions in rural areas, and whose by-products are used as animal feed. It helps retain farmers on the land, thereby reducing rural-to-urban migration. It serves as a pioneer in crop rotation, planned production, and irrigated agriculture. Sugar beet farming not only increases the income of producers but also creates employment opportunities.
With the four-field crop rotation system applied in sugar beet agriculture, sugar beet can be planted once every four years on the same field. In this way, it allows nature to renew itself and contributes positively to the environment.
